About Scott Winters
Becoming the "Butterfield Badass"
Scott got acquainted with sprint car racing early on in life when his dad, Kent Winters, began racing the 23w in 1989 when Scott was just three years old. For the next 13 years, Scott spent numerous nights at the race track and his love of the sport continued to grow. Watching, working, and taking in all the knowledge he could, he anxiously waited for his turn to get behind the wheel.
Kent hung up his race suit in 2002 and in 2003 at the age of 16, Scott began his sprint car driving career. While he could be seen tearing up the track in the R19 for his first three years, he eventually transitioned into the 23w to continue on his dads race number.
He continued on and with success and some fearless moves, he eventually became known as the "Butterfield Badass" or more commonly known at the racetrack as the "Butterfield Badboy" to help keep things PG :)
************
After getting married in 2012 to his wife Brittany he took some time off to grow his family, making only a few appearances at the track a year. During that time he had five children: Sully, Eden, Rocky, Kolli, and the 5th and final surprise Hardy. Now that the kids are older, he is back at it!
